LANEBREAKER — Privacy Policy
Sycamore Hill Studios · Last updated 18 August 2026
The short version. LANEBREAKER has no accounts, no sign-up and no game servers. Your progress is stored only on your own device. The single piece of data that leaves your phone is your device's advertising identifier, used by Google AdMob to show ads — and you are asked about that before any ad is requested.
Who we are
LANEBREAKER is published by Sycamore Hill Studios. You can reach us at sycamorehillstudios@outlook.com about anything in this policy.
What the app stores on your device
Your save file lives in the app's private storage on your phone and is never transmitted to us. It contains only game state:
- Coins, gems, cars, cosmetics and upgrade levels
- Scores, distance, run statistics and your play streak
- Season pass, event, mission and league progress
- Your settings (music, sound, haptics, reduced motion, reminders)
- A record that a purchase was made, so your purchase keeps working offline
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf and no way for us to restore it.
What is collected, and by whom
| Data | Who | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID and standard ad-request data (device type, coarse region, IP address) | Google AdMob | To serve and measure ads, and to limit how often you see the same one |
| Purchase transaction | Google Play Billing | To process a purchase. Google handles payment; we never see your card details, name or address |
That is the complete list. LANEBREAKER contains no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting service, no social logins and no advertising networks other than AdMob. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, photos, files, precise location or browsing history, and the app never asks for them.
Your choices about ads
On first launch — before any ad is requested — you are shown Google's consent form where required by law. Where personalised ads are not consented to or not available, the app requests non-personalised ads instead. You can reopen that form at any time from Settings → Privacy options, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Android settings.
Rewarded ads are always optional and always tell you what you get before you watch one. The one-time Remove Ads purchase permanently removes interstitial ads.
Children
LANEBREAKER is rated for players aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, contact us and we will look into it.
Where data goes
Because we operate no servers, we transfer nothing ourselves. Google may process ad and payment data internationally under its own terms. See Google's policy on how it uses data from partner sites and apps.
Security
Ad and billing traffic is encrypted in transit by Google's SDKs. Your save file is held in the app's private device storage, which other apps cannot read.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. A change that materially affects what is collected will also be called out in the app's release notes.
