PaperPine — Privacy Policy

PaperPine ("the app"), published by Sycamore Hill Studios, is a local-only app.

• No data collection. The app does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There is no analytics code and no advertising SDK.
• Your documents stay on your device. Scanned pages and the PDFs you create are stored in the app's private storage on your phone and leave it only when you explicitly export or share them through Android's own file picker or share sheet.
• Camera. The camera is used only to capture document pages, through Google's on-device document scanner (part of Google Play services). Images are processed on your device.
• Text recognition. Text extraction (OCR) runs entirely on your device using Google's ML Kit. Your documents are not uploaded anywhere for processing. Play services may download the recognition model once; that download contains no data from you.
• No accounts. The app requires no sign-up.
• Purchases. Optional tips are processed entirely by Google Play's billing system. The app never sees or stores your payment details. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Deleting data. Deleting a document in the app removes it immediately. Uninstalling the app removes all of its data.
