Stray Haven is a cozy game made by one person. This policy is written plainly because it is meant to be read, not skimmed past. The short version: there are no accounts, your save lives on your own device, and uninstalling the app takes everything with it.

The honest summary

We do not ask for your name, email, or any account.
Your cats, coins, and progress are stored only on your phone.
We use Google services for anonymous analytics, crash reports, and the optional rewarded ads — and nothing they collect identifies you personally.
You can turn off personalized ads, and you can wipe everything by uninstalling.

What we collect, and why

Stray Haven has no login and no user profile. We never collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, or any account identifier. What the app does collect is limited to the following, all through Google’s services:

Anonymous usage & diagnostics (Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics): which screens are used, in-app events like “a cat was rescued”, and crash logs if the app misbehaves. This helps us fix bugs and make the game better. It contains no personal information.
Advertising & device identifiers (Google AdMob): a device advertising ID and coarse (approximate, city-level) region, used only to show the optional rewarded video ads and to comply with ad-privacy rules.
Purchase confirmations (Google Play Billing): if you buy something, Google confirms the purchase so we can unlock it. We never see or store your card details — Google handles all of that.

Ads in Stray Haven are rewarded video only. They are never forced: you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-game bonus, and you can always decline. There are no banner ads and no full-screen interstitials.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. In regions that require it (the EEA, the UK, and certain US states), we show Google’s consent form before any ad is requested, so you can choose whether ads are personalized. You can change that choice at any time from the app’s settings. Becoming a VIP removes the ad prompts entirely.

Children

Stray Haven is rated for players aged 13 and up and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. Ad content is restricted to a G / general-audiences rating regardless. If you believe a child has used the app, uninstalling it removes all locally stored data; contact us with any concerns.

Your choices and rights

Delete everything: because there are no accounts and no cloud copy, uninstalling Stray Haven permanently deletes all of your data. There is nothing stored on a server for us to hold.
Opt out of personalized ads: use the privacy choices in the app’s settings, or your device’s advertising settings.
GDPR / UK GDPR / CCPA: since we hold no personal data tied to you, there is no personal profile to access, correct, or export. You can still contact us with any question and we will answer honestly.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell your data. The only parties involved are Google’s services named above, acting as our providers for analytics, crash reporting, ads, and billing. Data sent to them is encrypted in transit. Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by Google according to their standard policies; your on-device save is retained only until you delete the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Material changes will also be noted in the app’s release notes.
