Tiny Taps collects nothing. Nothing you or your child does in this app ever leaves the device.
There are no accounts, no ads, no analytics, no trackers, and no third parties.
We wrote this policy to be read, not to be survived. If anything below is unclear,
email us at sycamorehillstudios@outlook.com and we will fix the wording.
Nothing.
We do not collect, transmit, sell, share, or store on our servers:
Tiny Taps requests no Android permissions other than *vibrate*, which produces the gentle
haptic tap when your child touches something. Vibration cannot read anything about you or your
device. We do not request storage, camera, microphone, location, or contacts access, because we
do not use them.
We explicitly do not use the Android Advertising ID. It is removed from the app at build time,
not merely left unused.
A small number of settings and counters are saved on the phone or tablet itself, so the app
remembers how you like it:
This information is never uploaded, never shared, and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
The parent dashboard is built entirely from these local counters — the numbers you see there exist
only on your device and nowhere else.
Tiny Taps works completely offline. The app is fully playable in aeroplane mode.
Tiny Taps itself never sends anything anywhere. We run no server, and nothing your child does
reaches us or anybody else.
Two things do use the network, both of them Google Play Billing rather than us:
transaction is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
the unlock card instead of guessing one. Google's billing library also sends its own
diagnostics to Google when it starts up (firebaselogging.googleapis.com). That is Google's
telemetry about its own library, not ours — we neither request it, receive it, nor see it —
but it is a network request the app makes, so it is written down here rather than glossed over.
Nothing in either case includes anything about your child or how they play. If you never open
the parent settings and never buy anything, Tiny Taps makes no network requests at all.
There are none, and there never will be. Tiny Taps contains no advertising SDK of any kind —
not an active one, not a disabled one, not a placeholder. There is no interest-based advertising,
no remarketing, and no data sold to anyone for any purpose.
Tiny Taps is free to download. One optional, one-time purchase unlocks all fourteen activities.
It is not a subscription. There is no in-app currency, no loot box, no consumable, and nothing that
can be bought twice.
Every route to that purchase sits behind a parental gate that a toddler cannot pass. A child
cannot spend money in this app.
The purchase is shareable through Google Play Family Library.
Tiny Taps is designed for children under five and participates in Google Play's
Designed for Families programme.
Because Tiny Taps collects no personal information whatsoever from anyone, of any age:
We state this explicitly rather than leaving it implied, because "we collect nothing" is a
meaningfully different position from "we collect data but handle it carefully," and parents
deserve to know which one they are getting.
If you are in the EEA or UK: since we process no personal data, GDPR's lawful-basis, DPO,
and data-subject-request machinery does not engage. If you believe that is wrong in your
case, write to us and we will investigate properly rather than pointing you back at this page.
We make none. Tiny Taps is a toy, not a curriculum. It does not teach your child to read,
raise their IQ, or prepare them for school, and we will never claim otherwise in the app or in
our store listing. Toddlers learn language from people, not screens; the app is a pleasant
few minutes, and the parent dashboard says so on its own screen.
If we ever change what the app does, we will update this policy and change the date at the top
before shipping the change, not after. If a future version ever collects anything at all,
that will be stated here in plain language at the top of the page, and it will require a
Data Safety declaration update in the Play Store listing that you will see before updating.
